Understanding your true earnings, after all of your standard living expenses, can help you achieve your saving goals.
Gives you clarity on your earnings to help you make better spending choices.
Why This Was Created:
Saving money is a whole lot easier when you understand what your true earnings are. If you earn $100 dollars, but you had to spend $40 on living expenses in the time to earn that, your net wealth has only increased by $60 in that time. Your true earnings can be much better to make purchasing decisions against instead of your gross income number.
Understanding your true weekly, daily and hourly impact on your net wealth can help you cut some of your unnecessary expenses and even inspire you to find ways to build you’re your income. This can help you have a better understanding of where your money is coming and going, and help you better achieve your savings goals.
How It Works:
This tool allows you to calculate how much money you are really earnings, after all of your fixed costs of living expenses are factored in. It allows you to enter your earnings as well as all of your living expenses that you will be paying for each week. It shows you your true earnings on a weekly, daily and work-hourly basis. Understanding how much money you make for each hour of work can really put your purchases into perspective and help you make better spending decisions.
How I Use This:
When I wanted to save more money, I first asked myself, how much money am I really making each day? If I want to save $1,000 additional dollars, how many workdays will this take me? How many work hours will this take? This led me to the idea that not many people out there know their true earnings, their income after all of their living expenses are factored in. I worked out my true daily earnings, and used this as a better number to make my daily purchase decisions against. This helped me cut out my unnecessary spending and helped me achieve my savings targets more consistently and faster.
